Let's start from the very beginning...it's a very good place to start...

We hope this blog allows all those who are most important to us to follow our important events, ideas, and diversions more closely.


To inaugurate our blog, we'll start with the most important event of our last 39 weeks: Lauren's pregnancy with Ella Joyce.

The incredible technologies of modern medicine have allowed us to take a few key glimpses into the development of our daughter from day -2 with an ovarian ultrasound of the oocyte prior to ovulation. Unfortunately, we don't have a photo of the ovary with Ella's egg, but we do have pictures starting about a month post-conception.

The first photos are from the 4th of February, 2008. The subsequent two photos are from the 13th and 27th. It was incredible to see her develop from an implanted morula to a living being within days with a beating heart and moving limbs.
